This course will be an overview of how to assess and prepare addiction clients and their family members for referrals to extended levels of care. The presenter will present criteria that warrants recommendations for extended levels of care as well as common barriers that hinder treatment recommendation compliance. The presenter will also identify characteristics of treatment options in order to match clients to appropriate levels of care and scope of service.
