Willingway offers clients a full range of residential care, from detoxification (detox) to sober living environments (SLEs) and aftercare. Our drug and alcohol addiction recovery center focuses on providing high-quality treatment to clients and their families while treating them with the dignity and respect they deserve.
Our substance abuse programs include:
Our team assesses each client to determine their level of substance abuse and clinical needs.
The client is assigned a counselor who works directly with the client and their family throughout their treatment. Our assessments include (but are not limited to) the following:
Based on the information obtained by the client, the family, and the assessment tools, the interdisciplinary treatment team develops a detailed treatment plan outlining goals for achieving sobriety.
Detoxification is the most intensive level of residential care Willingway provides. With five decades of proven experience, we are the ideal provider for complex addiction treatment cases.
Our ASAM-certified medical director guides our medical detoxification (detox) services. The medical team has developed a detox protocol that protects clients from the seizures so often associated with withdrawal symptoms. We keep our clients as comfortable as possible during detox.
Willingway is highly regarded for our medical and clinical team’s expertise in treating methadone and suboxone addictions. Our medical staff can safely treat clients who have abused almost all combinations and levels of mood-altering chemicals, including:
The length of time in detox varies from client to client depending on their level of addiction, substances used, medical history and condition, length of time using substances, and severity of use.
Clients enter our residential treatment program for up to six weeks. The length of stay depends on several factors, including what the client will need for the best chance of a long-term recovery. Treatment at Willingway includes the following therapeutic modalities:
We also offer a short-term inpatient program for clients who may not need a longer stay or who are prevented from doing so by life circumstances.
The average stay for short-term treatment is approximately two to four weeks. With a targeted, comprehensive approach to recovery, these clients can still get the full benefit of the Willingway experience.
At Willingway, we believe that clients living with a drug or alcohol addiction have a better chance for long-term recovery if they spend time in extended treatment before returning home. It is challenging for a client to move directly from being in a residential treatment program, where everything is highly structured, to living independently. They have the tools and strategies for dealing with cravings and situations where they will be tempted to use or drink again; it can be challenging to remember these strategies when the client returns to familiar locations.
Willingway operates gender-specific Extended Treatment Services (also known as Sober Living Environments – SLE – Programs). The program is ideal for clients with a history of chronic relapse, legal or serious family issues, or who have had multiple treatments in the past.
Willingway’s outpatient services have the flexibility necessary to meet the needs of each client. From individual counseling to group therapy, Willingway Outpatient provides a level of treatment that is ideally suited to people living with a drug or alcohol addiction.
Clients who have already completed a residential drug and alcohol treatment program, those clients who have experienced a slip or a full-on relapse, or those who are unable to attend a residential treatment program due to their life situation may be a good fit for Willingway’s outpatient treatment program.
Willingway’s outpatient program includes the following:
Group Therapy in the outpatient program is geared toward learning to live without mood-altering chemicals. Our 12-step philosophy is enhanced with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates a variety of offerings to promote long-term recovery.
All clients discharged from Willingway’s programs receive recommendations for aftercare services. Suppose the client is returning home to an area where they can access one of Willingway’s 13 continuing care community groups. In that case, we highly encourage them to take advantage of them.
The weekly meetings are led by volunteers who are friends of Willingway at no cost to participants. They are the ideal place for anyone who is recovering from substance abuse or is a family member or friend of someone living with an addictive illness. All participants can receive support from people who have traveled the road to recovery before them or have experiences, strength and hope to share with others. These groups are open to anyone, not only those treated at Willingway. Clients who don’t live close enough to attend the weekly meetings in person can attend virtually via Zoom.
Family group therapy is offered weekly to all family members. The sessions are led by an experienced family therapist who specializes in addiction treatment and is available via Zoom.
