The women in this 12-bed program are those who are in need of a level of care nearly as intensive as that of an inpatient facility. Along with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder, many of the women also have a history of trauma. The Women’s Residence is staffed with two full-time certified counselors, along with extended treatment aides and a house manager who provide additional structure and accountability on nights and weekends. Medical and nursing care is available as needed.
Residents follow a highly structured clinical schedule including weekly individual counseling sessions coupled with group therapy held Monday through Friday. Program participants attend outside 12-Step recovery meetings, and are able to apply for part-time jobs if the treatment team determines it to be therapeutically beneficial. The average length of stay at the Women’s Residence is one year.
